はじめにEUビジネスマン日本研修プログラム（ETP）は、日本市場進出を目的とした欧州企業からのビジネスパーソンに対して、日本でビジネスを行うためのトレーニングを提供する人材育成プログラムです。1979 年に欧州委員会が日本経団連の協力を得て開始し、これまでに参加した研修員は現在まで延べ 1000 名に及びます。日本語及び日本のビジネスを学ぶためのこのプログラムに参加した修了生の中には、在日のヨーロッパ企業で指導的地位において活躍している、メルセデス・ベンツ日本社長のハンス・テンペル氏、ロールス・ロイス　インターナショナルリミテッド　日本支社長のリチャード・ソーンリー氏らも名を連ねています。

ETP25期よりプログラム内容が刷新され、欧州委員会の委託を受けて、現在４つの大学（パリ政治学院大学（フランス）・ロンドン大学東洋アフリカ学院（イギリス）・ボッコーニ大学（イタリア）・早稲田大学（日本））が企画および実施を行っております。計12ヶ月のプログラムは、約３ヶ月間のヨーロッパプログラムと約９ヶ月間の日本プログラムで構成され、ヨーロッパプログラムでは日本語と日本のビジネス・文化に関する基礎知識を学びます。日本プログラムでは、まず早稲田大学にて約６ヶ月間にわたり実践的な日本語能力の向上を図るとともに、日本の経済・経営管理・企業文化などを専門的に習得します。その後の約３ヶ月間でそれまでの期間で得た語学やビジネスの知識を生かしながら日本企業においてインターンシップを行います。

今期 ETP26 期は、2007 年 11月 19日からヨーロッパでの研修を開始し、2008年３月日本に来日しプログラムに参加致します。

About the ETPThe EU Executive Training Programme (ETP) is a professional development programme designed for European business professionals aimed at expanding their business into the Japanese marketplace. Conceived in 1979 by the European Commission (EC) with the support of Nippon Keidanren, ETP has welcomed to date approximately 1,000 business professionals to Japan. Among the participants who have successfully completed the programme, designed for promoting studies in Japanese language and business, are those who hold prominent leadership positions in European companies based in Japan. Alumni include distinguished business leaders such as Hans Tempel, President & CEO of Mercedes-Benz Japan, and Richard Thornley, Regional Director for Rolls-Royce International Ltd. in Japan.

As of the 25th cycle of ETP, the overall programme planning and execution has been entrusted by the EC to a consortium comprised of 4 universities: Sciences Po (France), the School of Oriental and African Studies ‒ SOAS (London), SDA Bocconi (Italy) and Waseda University (Japan). The 12-month programme is composed of a 3-month Europe-based programme in which participants learn the fundamentals of Japanese language and business, and a 9-month Japan-based programme. During the Japan-based programme, participants spend 6 months at Waseda University to cultivate their practical Japanese language skills and acquire specialized knowledge in Japanese economy, business administration and corporate culture. Participants will spend the remaining 3 months conducting internships at Japanese companies utilizing the language and business knowledge that they have gained thus far.

The 26th cycle of ETP has commenced as of 19th November, 2007, in Europe. Participants will be arriving to take part in the Japan-based programme in March 2008.

早稲田大学でのプログラムについてETP の研修員は、ヨーロッパでの基礎的な日本語および日本文化・ビジネスの知識を得た後、日本において、早稲田大学の企画、運営によるプログラムに参加します。日本語教育は日本語教育研究センターが担当し、短期間で実践的なビジネスに直結する日本語教育を受けます。また、ビジネス教育は、大学院商学研究科、ビジネススクールを中心に、他大学からも広く講師陣を集め、グローバルなビジネス理論と日本的経営管理、商習慣等に関する教育が提供されます。そして、最終的に、日本のビジネス環境で基礎的なコミュニケーションを取ることのできる中級レベル以上の日本語能力、及び、日本企業と日本の消費者を対象としたビジネスを成功させるための様々なスキルを身につけ、日本で活躍できる人材を育成することを狙いとしています。

日本語日本でビジネスを展開するために必要となる、総合的な日本語によるコミュニケーション能力を養成します。日本人ビジネスパーソンを招いてのグループインタビュー、研修員の専門分野に関するプレゼンテーションなどビジネスに焦点をあてた活動を含む教室での授業（19 週間、延べ 258 時間）の他、インターネットを通して学習できるオンデマンドプログラム、個人レッスンなど幅広い学習の機会を提供します。また、日本語プログラム修了時、研修員には最終試験（各々のセールスプレゼンテーションと最終レベルチェック）が課せられ、学習成果を厳しく評価されます。

Japan Immersion Module at Waseda UniversityAfter obtaining the basics of Japanese language, business and culture in Europe, ETP participants will further develop their skills on the Japan-based programme designed and implemented by Waseda University. The Japanese language programme offers intensive and practical language study required for conducting business in Japan and is administered by the Center for Japanese Language. The business and management programme offers studies on global business theories in conjunction with Japanese-style business administration and corporate customs by gathering lecturers from the Waseda Business School, Graduate School of Commerce and other universities. Upon completion, the overall programme aims to foster executives with the intermediate Japanese language skills and business knowledge essential in achieving success in the corporate world of Japan.

ビジネス＆マネジメントビジネススクール形式の講義では、グローバルなビジネス理論と地域的な特殊性を持つ日本的経営管理、商慣習等を、独自の事例等を用いながら系統的に学び、日本企業ならびに日本の消費者を対象としたビジネスの成功に必要不可欠な知識の獲得を目指します。基本的に１科目 14 回の講義（最終試験を含む）で構成され、必修、選択あわせて計８科目以上を履修することが求められます。必修４科目、選択４科目以上（全８科目より）を履修することが求められます。

講義の一環として、様々なプログラム（日欧の実務家を招いたフォーラムや企業訪問に加え、社団法人日本能率協会、JETRO との各共同セミナーなど）を提供する予定です。そして、各研修員はこれらのプログラムを通して習得した知識・経験をもとに最終的に『プロフェッショナルビジネスプラン（日本での事業計画書）』を完成させます。

Business and ManagementThe business and management programme delivers MBA style lectures covering global business theories in conjunction with Japanese-style business administration and corporate customs through original case studies and other resources. The programme's objective is to equip participants with the knowledge and techniques relevant in targeting Japanese companies and consumers to prompt success in the corporate world of Japan. Each course will be comprised of 14 lectures (including fi nal exams) and participants will be required to select 4 mandatory and a minimum of 4 (out of 8) elective courses for study.

【Course Titles】 Mandatory: Japanese Management & Business Culture, Marketing & Buyer Behavour in Japan, Japan's Economy and Government Policies, and Japan Entry StrategyElective: Organizational Structure and Processes in Japanese Companies, Advertising Strategy of Japanese Companies, Production System of Japanese Companies, Human Resource Management and Personnel Policy in Japan, Distribution Systems in Japan, Financial System in Japan, Financial Accounting System in Japan, and Corporate Laws and Contractual Practices in Japan.

As part of the programme, additional activities such as business forums (inviting prominent European and Japanese executives to interact with participants), company visits and joint seminars offered by the Japan Management Association and JETRO, will be offered. Participants will submit a Professional/Business Plan using the knowledge acquired throughout the programme at the end.

インターンシップ（企業内研修）ETP26 期生は、早稲田大学での日本語と日本ビジネスの教育プログラム修了後、2008 年８月１日～ 10 月 31 日の３ヶ月間、日本企業でインターンシップを行います。

インターンシップは、研修員が、各自の経歴や、本プログラムで学んだ知識をもとに、実務を体験することを通して、日本および日本にかかわるビジネスを学ぶ機会となります。また、プログラムの集大成として11 月に成果を発表するセールスプレゼンテーションやプロフェッショナルビジネスプランをより具体的なものとして完成させる一助となります。研修員は、欧州委員会、早稲田大学などのサポートを受けながら、インターンシップ受け入れ企業と交渉し、インターンシップ先を確保することが求められています。

これは、研修員にとって日本企業とのネットワーク形成の過程を身を持って学習する良い機会となります。また、日本企業にとりましても、インターンシップを受入れることは、EUとの深いつながりを築く大きな足がかりとなり、双方にとってその価値を共有できる機会となるものと信じております。今後とも、より多くの方々に当研修プログラムについてご理解いただき、EUのビジネスパーソンの企業内研修受け入れにご協力いただければと存じます。ご質問、詳細は早稲田大学 ETP 事務局（電話：03-5286-8862）までお問い合わせください。

Internship（In-House Training）ETP26 participants will engage in a 3-month internship (from 1st

August to 31st October, 2008) at a Japanese company after the on-campus Japanese language and business and management programmes at Waseda University have ended.

Internships provide the opportunity for participants to work in a Japanese company and allow them to utilize their personal background and knowledge gained on the programme to learn first-hand about business in Japan. Internships will contribute greatly in the preparations of both the Sales Presentation and Professional/Business Plan which will showcase the achievements made by each participant in November. Through the support of the European Commission and Waseda University, participants are expected to secure their internships by making negotiations with their target companies.

This experience will offer a chance for participants to build and establish contacts with Japanese companies. We also believe that hosting internships will also be benefi cial for Japanese companies looking to establish relations with the EU. We sincerely look forward to your support and cooperation in hosting internships for the European executives participating on ETP this year and in the future. Host internship companies are not responsible for any expenses incurred through the internship including daily allowance and transportation costs; however, we kindly ask that you provide an ample working environment for the ETP participant.

Japanese LanguageThe Japanese language programme will cultivate the overall Japanese communicative profi ciency necessary to expand business into Japan. In addition to classroom work (19 weeks, 258 hours) comprised of group interview sessions with Japanese executives; presentations on areas of expertise; and other business-related activities, the programme will also offer a wide-range of additional study opportunities including on-demand learning programmes and individual tutor sessions. Participants will be evaluated at the end of the programme through the Final Level Check and Sales Presentation.

はじめにEUビジネスマン日本研修プログラム（ETP）は、日本市場進出を目的とした欧州企業からのビジネスパーソンに対して、日本でビジネスを行うためのトレーニングを提供する人材育成プログラムです。1979 年に欧州委員会が日本経団連の協力を得て開始し、これまでに参加した研修員は現在まで延べ 1000 名に及びます。日本語及び日本のビジネスを学ぶためのこのプログラムに参加した修了生の中には、在日のヨーロッパ企業で指導的地位において活躍している、メルセデス・ベンツ日本社長のハンス・テンペル氏、ロールス・ロイス　インターナショナルリミテッド　日本支社長のリチャード・ソーンリー氏らも名を連ねています。

ETP25期よりプログラム内容が刷新され、欧州委員会の委託を受けて、現在４つの大学（パリ政治学院大学（フランス）・ロンドン大学東洋アフリカ学院（イギリス）・ボッコーニ大学（イタリア）・早稲田大学（日本））が企画および実施を行っております。計12ヶ月のプログラムは、約３ヶ月間のヨーロッパプログラムと約９ヶ月間の日本プログラムで構成され、ヨーロッパプログラムでは日本語と日本のビジネス・文化に関する基礎知識を学びます。日本プログラムでは、まず早稲田大学にて約６ヶ月間にわたり実践的な日本語能力の向上を図るとともに、日本の経済・経営管理・企業文化などを専門的に習得します。その後の約３ヶ月間でそれまでの期間で得た語学やビジネスの知識を生かしながら日本企業においてインターンシップを行います。

今期 ETP26 期は、2007 年 11月 19日からヨーロッパでの研修を開始し、2008年３月日本に来日しプログラムに参加致します。

About the ETPThe EU Executive Training Programme (ETP) is a professional development programme designed for European business professionals aimed at expanding their business into the Japanese marketplace. Conceived in 1979 by the European Commission (EC) with the support of Nippon Keidanren, ETP has welcomed to date approximately 1,000 business professionals to Japan. Among the participants who have successfully completed the programme, designed for promoting studies in Japanese language and business, are those who hold prominent leadership positions in European companies based in Japan. Alumni include distinguished business leaders such as Hans Tempel, President & CEO of Mercedes-Benz Japan, and Richard Thornley, Regional Director for Rolls-Royce International Ltd. in Japan.
