Over 11 years’ experience as a Structural Engineer, working in a multi-disciplinary practice (residential and commercial, wood, concrete and steel), also in heavy industry (precast prestressed concrete). Registered Engineer in four provinces (BC, AB, SK, and MB) with current Permits to Practice in each of those provinces. Expertise include high level of competency in failure analysis through experiences with custom repair design work, which has honed a familiarity with past and present Building Code (National, AB, and BC) application & interpretation. Other specialties include: structural design in concrete, steel, and wood for both residential and commercial applications, as well as high proficiency in AutoCAD for design and shop drawings.

Structural Engineer, Design Engineer

Design calculations and shop drawings for: commercial steel stud, precast concrete hollowcore and insulated wall panels, pylon signs. Custom construction support engineering such as bracing, shoring, canopies and soffits, residential structural design such as load bearing wall removals, framing modifications foundations, and additions and decks, commercial engineering such as mezzanines, reinforcement of openings in load bearing walls.

Structural Engineer, Project Engineer

Design of precast concrete elements such as hollowcore, insulated wall panels, industrial slabs, balcony slabs, vaults, parking structures and foundations. Plant engineering duties such as stressing calculations and review of shop tools such as spreader bars and stress heads.

Design and construction review of residential and small to medium sized commercial buildings, including modular buildings. Design and construction review of industrial implements such as pipelayer booms, spreader bars and lifting devices.

Project Inspector

Field review and progress reporting of RM of St. Francois Xavier water and sewer line installation. Coordinate between general contractor and design engineer.
