CHANGE THE AGENDA

Page 2: CHANGE THE AGENDA Go out to work - Sépaq• Coffee maker • Work table • Access to wireless Internet Restaurant Service Bistro-Bar le Quatre Temps seats 125 people around the monumental

Sépaq decided to implement an environmental

management program. This program touches on

different elements, such as the management of

energy, water and residual material, as well as

eco-responsible purchasing.

The latter allows us to plan how to

implement our “green measures». This

being said, in recent years, several ele-

ments have already been put in place,

such as the installation of recycling

stations, the use of 100% recycled

paper, the use of electric vehicles, the

use of biodegradable cleaning products

and the progressive replacement of

two-stroke motors with four-stroke

motors. The program also includes the

application of indicators to measure

our environmental performances and

ensure that our actions are leading us

in the right direction.

STATION TOURISTIQUE DUCHESNAY“ The Québec Association of IB World Schools and Francophonie (SÉBIQ) held two important events at Station touristique Duchesnay in June and April, 2008. All of the participants were thrilled with their stays: the comfort of the meeting rooms, the excellent food, the staff’s eagerness and courtesy, the comfort of the hotel and the charm of the setting quickly convinced us to come back next year. ”

Louis Bouchard The Québec Association of IB World Schools and Francophonie (SÉBIQ)

AQUARIUM DU QUÉBEC“ We loved Aquarium du Québec. Everyone discovered a picturesque and beautiful spot with a view of the St. Lawrence. We were very satisfied with all of the services, and we particularly enjoyed the seal show which made the crowd happy and piqued the curiosity of a lot of people. The meals were good and beautifully presented. It was a real pleasure to do business with you. The event was magical. ” Simon Brouillard University Laval Grad Reunion Laval (physio-ergo 2008)

AUBERGE DE MONTAGNE DES CHIC-CHOCS“ I think the Chic-Chocs Mountain Lodge is the perfect place in Québec to hold an activity for clients or employees. The change of scenery is total, and the warm welcome from the hotel keeper and his team is absolutely extraordinary. I also want to mention the quality of the facilities, which are far superior to what one would expect for such an isolated place. Mountain skiing or snowshoeing are great complements that are different from the usual winter activities. Our clients really appreciated it…and we will certainly be back… ” Gilles Trépanier Brasserie Molson

PARC DE LA CHUTE-MONTMORENCY“ For the past 5 years already, we’ve been celebrating the Québec City Area Employee Excellence in Customer Service Event for the Jean Coutu network at Manoir Montmorency, and we are more than satisfied. The service is impeccable and your staff, the spacious rooms and the marvellous view of the falls are the criteria of choice for us. ”

An ecological approachto day-to-daymanagement of the national parks

Conserve. Protect. Discover. More than just outdoor destinations, the network of 22 national parks above all protects the most representative or exceptional elements of the Québec territory. Each national park was created according to internationally reco-gnized standards to preserve a natural characteristic of its territory. The parks are a must for anyone who wants to experience the diversity and richness of Québec nature. Following the example of other great national parks networks, Québec parks aim to preserve examples of great ecosystems.

Parc national des Îles de BouchervilleParc national des Îles-de-Boucherville is an oasis of greenery and happiness right in

the middle of the St. Lawrence River, just a few kilometres from downtown Montréal. Green spaces, life-filled channels, and waterside trails delight the walk-ers, cyclists and canoers who come here for some

fresh air. A variety of guided discovery activi-ties give visitors the opportunity to learn more about the plant and animal treasures of these 5 St. Lawrence Islands.

Parc national d’OkaParc national d’Oka’s Visitors Centre, Le littoral, has a luminous 200-seat hall, a lounge corner with fireplace, and an outdoor terrace over-looking Lac des Deux-Montagnes.

Parc national du Mont-TremblantTo discover and appreciate this park’s scenery from a brand new point of view, try a unique mountain experience, the Via ferrata du Diable, on the Vache Noire cliff. The national parks network’s big premiere for this activity, which is truly a feast for the eyes, took place this year. The park is located near Station touris-tique Tremblant.

Parc national de la Jacques-CartierLess than 30 minutes from Québec City, the first French settlement in North America, Parc natio-nal de la Jacques-Cartier offers a magnificent landscape featuring striking contrasts. The Lac-à-l’Épaule Lodge loaned its name to a well-known French expression, Faire un lac à l’épaule.

Parc national des Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-MalbaieA guided cruise on Rivière Malbaie or a hike into the heart of this jewel of the Charlevoix World Biosphere Reserve will definitely add a plus value to your event. At Le Draveur Visitors Centre, you will find food service, a convenience store, an indoor dining room and an outdoor terrace. The building’s abundance of windows and the terrace give you a chance to savour your meal while admiring the fabulous scenery. The park is located near Manoir Richelieu.

Parc national du BicFor a breath of sea air, there’s nothing better than a cruise on the high seas at Parc national du Bic near Rimouski. In a kayak or zodiac, admire the emblems of its renown: capes, bays, coves, islands and mountains. Hopefully the seals will show up too!

Parc national du Mont-MéganticLocated in the enchanting little village of Notre-Dame-des-Bois in the heart of the first International Dark Sky Reserve, Parc national du Mont-Mégantic welcomes you. A 100-seat multimedia room is available. About 75 km east of Sherbrooke.
