Production Infrastructure Wraping Used mostly for electronic

applications. A large andpredetermined number of endspulled from a creel are woundonto a large spool (beam) and

placed on a warper to producesection beams. Then apredetermined number of themare assembled on a slasher togenerate a loom beam, whichwill be used in the next processingstep. During the slashingoperation, a secondary sizing isapplied to the ends in order toenhance their abrasionresistance. Some applicationsdon't require the slashingoperation; section beams can beused directly in the next textileprocess or a determined numbercan be assembled on a beamerto make up a loom beam.

InfrastructureKnitting Knitting is a method by

which thread or yarn is usedto create a cloth. Knittedfabric consists ofconsecutive rows of loops,

called stitches. As each rowprogresses, a new loop ispulled through an existingloop. The active stitches areheld on a needle untilanother loop can bepassed through them. This

process eventually results ina fabric, often used forgarments.

    Infrastructure Dying

A dye is a coloredsubstance that has anaffinity to the substrate towhich it is being applied.

The dye is generallyapplied in an aqueoussolution, and requires amordant to improve thefastness of the dye on thefiber. Both dyes andpigments appear to becolored because theyabsorb some wavelengthsof light more than others.
