44
Dimensionnement optimiséConnaitre l’utilisation nominale CPU/RAM/IO
Acquisition: label Energy Star, choix fournisseurUtilisation

Server Efficiency- going upHigh voltage distributionShared power suppliesMore efficient cooling– higher inlet temperatures
PUE– going downEconomizers- use outside air to cool when possibleDensity- higher density drives efficiency
Utilization– going upVirtualizationShared Infrastructure
Power Utilization Effectiveness (PUE) is the ratio of total data center power to the IT load and represents the amount of auxiliary support (primarily cooling) the servers require to perform. The graph above shows the 30% improvement in PUE one of our facilities was able to achieve over the last three years through innovation and adoption of best practices
* This significance of this improvement becomes clear when you consider that each 0.1 improvement in PUE represents over 4000 MWhrs of electricity conserved annually.
