UNION FENOSA GAS es una empresa participada al 50% por NATURGY y ENI. El respaldo estratégico de estos dos socios asegura la consecución de importantes ventajas competitivas.

El Proyecto de UNION FENOSA GAS tiene su origen en la búsqueda de gas natural competitivo para los clientes del mercado industrial y los ciclos combinados en España. Esta estrategia supone un enfoque diferencial frente a sus competidores, busca la flexibilidad en origen de los aprovisionamientos, la disponibilidad de transporte marítimo propio, y la rentabilidad en las diferentes etapas de la cadena del gas natural licuado: licuefacción, transporte marítimo, regasificación y comercialización.

UNION FENOSA GAS is a company jointly owned by NATURGY and ENI with 50% each. The strategic backing the company receives from these two stockholders has brought it considerable competitive advantages.

The UNION FENOSA GAS project stems from the search for competitive natural gas for the industrial market customers and for the combined cycle power stations in Spain. This strategy implies a distinctive approach vis-à-vis its competitors, seeking flexible sourcing of supplies, availability of inhouse sea transport, and profitability in the various stages in the chain of liquefied natural gas: liquefaction, sea transport, regasification, and commercialization.

APROVISIONAMIENTO / SUPPLY

Disponer de diversidad en el aprovisionamiento de gas es importante para incrementar la seguridad de suministro. UNION FENOSA GAS se distingue por ello, importando gas natural licuado producido principalmente en sus plantas de licuefacción participadas en Egipto y Omán, principalmente, así como de otros orígenes.

La cartera de aprovisionamientos de UNION FENOSA GAS combina suministros de gas a corto y largo plazo, lo que junto a la adecuada diversidad geográfica aseguran una elevada seguridad y flexibilidad.

Todo ello nos permite asegurar el suministro de todos nuestros clientes en el mercado español y operar en los mercados internacionales creando nuevas oportunidades de negocio.

The availability of diversity in gas supplies is important to increase security of supply. UNION FENOSA GAS is distinctive in this case as it imports liquefied natural gas produced at its jointly-owned liquefaction plants in Egypt and Oman, mainly, as well as from other locations all over the world.

The supply side portfolio of UNION FENOSA GAS combines short and long term gas supply contracts, together with appropriate geographical diversity to ensure a high degree of flexibility and guarantee.

All of this allows us to be sure we can supply all our clients in the Spanish market and to operate on the international markets taking advantage of new business opportunities.

UNION FENOSA GAS ha invertido más de 1.100 millones de euros para disponer de participaciones en el capital de plantas propias de licuefacción. Con esto obtiene presencia en uno de los procesos clave en la cadena del gas.

La estratégica situación de la Planta de Licuefacción de Damietta en la costa mediterránea y de Qalhat en el Golfo Pérsico, le otorga a UNION FENOSA GAS una favorable posición de acceso a los mercados de la cuenca mediterránea, Reino Unido, América y Lejano Oriente.

UNION FENOSA GAS has invested more than 1,100 million euros in obtaining stockholdings in liquefaction plants. In this way it has a presence in one of the key processes in the gas chain.

The strategic location of the Damietta Liquefaction Plant on the Mediterranean Coast and that of the Qalhat in the Persian Gulf gives to UNION FENOSA GAS a favourable position to access the markets in the Mediterranean basin, United Kingdom, the Americas and the Far East.

Para transportar el Gas Natural Licuado (GNL) proveniente de las plantas de licuefacción, UNION FENOSA GAS también dispone de sus propios medios. Dos buques metaneros que en conjunto tienen una capacidad de 278.500 m3 nominales.

El disponer de flota propia permite a UNION FENOSA GAS el acceso a los mercados internacionales, así como a incrementar la seguridad de suministro.

UNION FENOSA GAS can call on its own resources to transport the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) coming from the liquefaction plants. Two methane tankers with a total nominal capacity of 278,500 m3 between them.

Having its own fleet allows UNION FENOSA GAS to access international markets, as well as increasing the security of supply.

UNION FENOSA GAS ha consolidado su actividad comercial en el mercado español, centrando sus esfuerzos en la venta de gas a grandes clientes industriales y a centrales de ciclo combinado (CCGTs), a través de UNION FENOSA GAS COMERCIALIZADORA, con una vocación de crecimiento sostenido desde el comienzo de su actividad en el año 2001, logrando posicionarse entre los tres primeros comercializadores de gas natural en España.

Mercado Industrial: En el Sector Industrial UNION FENOSA GAS COMERCIALIZADORA suministra gas natural para los procesos productivos en los sectores más intensivos en este tipo de combustible (papel, siderúrgia, metalúrgia, cerámica, vidrio, etc), así como a plantas de cogeneración para generación de energía eléctrica y térmica.

CCGT: Además UNION FENOSA GAS COMERCIALIZADORA suministra gas natural a las plantas de ciclo combinado, para la generación eléctrica con alto rendimiento.

UNION FENOSA GAS has consolidated its sales activity on the Spanish market by focusing its efforts on the sale of gas to large industrial clients and to combined cycle power stations (CCGTs), through UNION FENOSA GAS COMERCIALIZADORA. The sales company, aiming at sustained growth since the start of its activities in 2001, has positioned itself among the top three wholesalers of natural gas in Spain.

Industrial Market: In the Industrial Sector UNION FENOSA GAS COMERCIALIZADORA supplies natural gas for the manufacturing processes in the most intensive sectors using this kind of fuel (paper, iron and steel, metallurgy, ceramics, glass, etc), as well as to cogeneration plants for the production of electricity and thermal energy.

CCGT: In addition, UNION FENOSA GAS COMERCIALIZADORA supplies natural gas to the combined-cycle plants for power generation.
