1.0 INTRODUCTION
This program was developed to provide the design engineer with an intuitive and efficienttool with which geometric structures may be defined and manipulated.
1.1 GENERAL INFORMATIONThis program was developed to provide an easy method of generating hardcopy plotsfrom a Neutral icture !ile or "#$ file on a number of different hardware devices.
%nput to this program is in the form of either a Neutral icture !ile or an "#$ file in the
&'(%% format. The Neutral icture !ile may be in either )*%+s original format or in thenewly defined format.
,utput of this program is in the form of hardcopy plots on any indows printer.&dditionally the output may be a */! file which may subseuently be input into the
&utocad program developed by &utodes2 or the indows 3eta !ile format for inputinto any indows program such as wordprocessors or drawing programs.
)ntry into revue is provided by entering the command 4prevue filename5 wherefilename is the plot file name e7ample: prevue npfile.0018 or by selecting revue and thefilename from the '&(' )7ecutive.
,n-line help may be obtained by selecting the 4"elp5 option.
1.2 PROGRAM OVERVIEW
1.2.1 System Conf!"#$ton
9efore e7ecuting revue for the first time the '&(' system configuration file should begenerated using the '&(' )7ecutive. revue accesses the configuration file name
4configg.sac5 defined by environmental variable 4'&(#(!#5. *ata from the
configuration file is used in all subseuent e7ecutions and may be edited by using the'&(' )7ecutive. %f the configuration file is not found or if the file does not e7ist revuewill e7it with a 4configuration file not found5 error message.
Note: The environmental variable “SACGCFG” must contain the full path
name of the configuration file including the filename.
The configuration parameters used in recede may be changed for the current sessionusing the !ile, ptions option.

2.0 GETTING STARTED
2.1 CREATING A PLOT FILE

'&(' Neutral icture !ile format or "#$ file format. The plot file must be created by a'&(' interactive or batch module such as recede ostvue '% etc.
2.2 %EGINNING A PREVUE SESSION
The revue interactive session is begun by entering the command 4revue filename5
where filename is the plot file name or by selecting revue from the '&(' )7ecutivethen selecting an N! or "#$ format plot file. revue will automatically determine the
plot file format N! "#$8.
%f a plot file name is not specified or if revue cannot open the specified file the
!ile, pen dialog is initiated. The user may then select the proper N! or "#$ filename or e7it the program.
2.& E'ITING T(E PREVUE SESSION
