TorderaWhen tourism is the solution

For this project, there was no background from previous jobs, so the first issue to solve was to create a branding in which people could identify quickly with the town. With an abstract form and green colours, I created a logo in which resides all elements of Tordera: town, cultural, rural, contemporary and at the same time, modern.

The branding also includes a manual of basic rules for how to use the logo, and the different options in which logo could work, as it could be for different services or places.

Tordera’s Branding

Once branding was solved, the next step was to create some “material”, some elements that tourists could use to visit the town. First ideas were to develop different

flyers for each element of the town, but last research point the benefit to create a unique element in which

contains all the necessary information to spend a day in Tordera. With energetic colours, a map from the centre and another for the hole town, has been created to provide information about “What to do?”, “What to visit?” and “Where to eat?” as well as some information about the market and our local product.

Advertising Campaign

A commercial campaign to promote the town along the tourists was also necessary. For these reason, a series of paper buildings that represents real iconic elements from Tordera were created and later on a selection of 4 transformed to posters. This commercial campaign gives the possibility to extend it to other buildings and events of Tordera, and be transformed to different medias, as could be billboards. As well, it gives the possibility to create a “corporate branding” to promote events for the town.

A possible souvenir was developed as well. Out from the Mexican hats and Spanish toros that you can find in the beach shops, this souvenir was created to give entertainment and a piece of art to tourist’s houses. An origami version of different iconic buildings from Tordera. This souvenir can be developed by different packs or just by buildings, in a really simplistic and minimalistic packaging.

Some of the examples of the blueprint origami that tourist will find in their souvenir. Perfect for tourist who love minimalistic presents, and for ones with kids, so they can paint it.

D&AD BriefAgainst the climate change

Breaking the rules

As a society, we tend to react too late when we want to solve a problem, a problem that doesn’t affect directly to us, but that we can see the effects. Only when we suffer the bad effects from it, we want to invest money, time and use the covers from newspapers to talk about it. The brief was about the climate change, and howing the possible effect of it, like photomontages of big floods, or the big ben under water or fire, don’t seem to have had a big change into the society. Not even movies like “The day after tomorrow” or “An Inconvenient Truth” which showed and explained clearly what could happen. My idea was to show the people not the possible effects, not fiction, but there was a consideration “Don’t fear people”.

The final piece is an adsheld with an empty space inside.

In the glass, there is a text message divided by two

colours, the first part in part, and the second, in white, so

it’s really hard to read with a white background. But

suddenly, some red smoke starts to enter into the

empty space (representing the problem, the climate

change), and the message in white starts to be clear, up to when the adshel is

full of smoke, and you can read the whole message.

The Making off

DissertationPredicting your next purchase

The purpose of this study is to study individuals who are experiencing negative affective states, in this case, stress, to understand targets and predict consumption patters, which applied to advertising, might increase sales and purchasing probabilities. The examination of the efficacy of emotion regulation language in advertisements for hedonic hedonic products would be the main subject in this research, with secondary outcomes such asreaction levels to advertising, or purchasing needs.

Predicting your next purchase

Research indicates that individuals experiencing negative emotions have higher purchasing intentions to consume hedonic products. Studies also concluded that using emotion regulation language for building messages in advertisements makes them more effective for those individuals.

Other skillsPlaying with other fields

With MDF wood, I designed it firstly two wax stamps, so I can close letters and documents into an old fashionable way, with my own design on it. As well, an ink stamp with the logotype form, and finally, the most challenging to design, an embossing stamp. The idea was to create it to give a relief to the business card with the logo design. For doing this, I need firstly two plates with the design with positive and negative in each of them. Something to kept them straight and parallel, and finally, with a clamp, so I could create enough pressure so the paper got the embossing. After different tests, I could achieve the design that would give me this effect into my business cards, but as it’s a large process to apply to all of them, this machine is saved only for special business cards.

3D: Basic Knowledge

Most of my technical skills started when I was a kid and I was a passionate of the computer. The Paint was quickly changed for the Photoshop in my early adolescence, and

some times, for fun and interest, I “played” with other software, finding an easy pattern between all of them, making myself a user with facilities to discover quickly

how to use a new programme. Thanks to this, 3D has been another example, and I have basic knowledge in modelling, in

software like Cinema 4D, and as well in Google Sketchup.
