NOTRE DAME THE BUILDING

The great cathedral took many years to build. The

building of Notre Dame continued from 1163 to

1334.

It took them over 180 years to build.

THE CATHEDRAL

Notre Dame means- for our lady of Paris.

No other building is so associated with the history of Paris

as Notre-Dame.

Standing on the Ile de la Cite on the eastern side.

The cathedral is a gothic masterpiece standing on the site

of a Roman temple.

Notre Dame is an operating church where you can

come and worship.

However the architect itself is something to come

and see. Some interesting things to see are: Crown

of thorns, towers, painting and sculptures.

they would be

inspiring, not

dark and

depressing
